As an individual, you can apply for a tax number in Paraguay (RUC) if you have a residency permit (temporary or permanent) and a national ID, also known in Paraguay as the “cédula paraguaya”.
➡️Second requirement: Decide on one or two economic activities to declare.
Thousands of economic activities are listed, with the most common ones related to the business consultancy field.
Next, you will need to determine which economic activities best suit you, as you must specify one or two economic activities in your pre-application.
➡️Third requirement: Complete and submit your tax number application.

Afterwards, you will need to complete and submit your tax number application. The tax office will notify you within 3 business days regarding the status of your application. Please note that it is mandatory for you to be physically present in Paraguay to sign your tax number acceptance. The tax office does not accept power of attorney for this purpose.
